It’s an important decision…

Choosing an accountant to work with can be a difficult, but really important decision to make. There are so many accounting businesses out there – all different shapes, sizes, qualifications, and experience!

What can they all do and how do you know it’s the right choice for you and your business?

“Working with a good Accountant is invaluable - it is not a cost. It is in an INVESTMENT.”

That’s quite a statement to make but is it really true?

Many business owners pride themselves on how little they spend with their accountant. But this is one fee you shouldn’t look to cut.

As your business grows over time you need to start thinking about what you want to happen with your business in terms of sustainable success or succession planning.

Is your business going to be linked to you forever, so when you stop working in the business it will close?

Are you happy?!

This is the most important question to ask yourself. Are you happy with the service being provided by your Accountant?

Do they communicate to you in the way that works for you and is there regular communication?

Do they really understand your business?

If the answer to any of these is No, then you could be working with the wrong Accountant.

It’s hard to believe how quickly things can change!

Back in time, I would not have thought that I’d be where I am today… Working whilst studying towards the accounting qualification is like a dream coming true to me!
